libTech Skate Banana not proposed for advanced riders ( I was surprised, when I checked product details - right before online buying it)

  • Hi ,

for a long time, it was my wish to buy a Skate Banana.

Now at the end of season I found a good reduced SkateBanana in an online shop.

But right before buying I made the following surprising discovery. The board seems not to be for advanced riders:

    Skate Banana
FREESTYLE / ALL MOUNTAIN - TWIN Was sind B-Grades??

1.) What is the real fact for not proposing the skate banana for advanced riders ?

2.) Why is the board so famous, although it is not made for advanced riders ?

3.) Can you please propose another mervin produced board (libtech, GNU Roxy?, etc ... ) with the following features:

    _ 3.1) True twin

_ 3.2) serrated steak knife technology

    _ 3.3) banana technology / rocker-camber-hybrid mix ( like the skate banana has )

    _ 3.4) for advanced riders

_ 3.5) wide version must be available, since I have big feets

BR and thanks in advance for your good and helpful answers

The sk8 banana is realy soft in Flex and washy on turns. May you like it or not. It's truly not for aggressive riders in search of performance und egde hold.

It's a forgiving Board that performs well for Beginners and Advanced Riders if they know why they have chosen the Sk8Banana.

For those who do little edge care or only with a small edging angle and tend to drift the curves, a Sk8 Banana is also suitable.

All depends on how you like that washy feeling. Do you like it or do you want to carve with higher adging angels ?

Why is the board so famous, although it is not made for advanced riders ?

Many Boards are hyped.... Some are overhyped.. The sk8bana was at the Top .. i think 5-8 years ago. Its a freestyle allmountain for those who don't want to care much about edge care or just ride 5-10 days a year. And a board for those who like the soft and washy drift turns.

3.1 True twin ? You'r sure ? when you don't use at least 50% switch riding i think a light directional board is better.

3.2 Okay . if you like

3.3 i would prefer the c2 Mevrin shape over the original banana..

    3.4 c2 Mervins

3.5 okay. how long are your Boots on the Outside ?

---> Lib Tech Cold Brew if you dont youse swich nearly 50% .. 30% switch with the Cold Brew is fine.

--> True Twin The Lib Tech T.Rice Pro

--> GNU maybe the FINEST ??

Sorry im not a specialist in Mervins Board's..

Im more in the hybrid cambers oder s-Nose Cambers.
